Seavenger Zephyr 3mm Neoprene Dive Socks

Stretchy 3 mm neoprene socks that take the sting out of cold water for the toes.

Best for first cold plungespeople whose feet give up before the rest of themwalking from the tub to the towel

Feet are usually the first to complain in a cold tub, and for many beginners they end the dip before breathing or nerves do. A thin layer of neoprene changes that. The Seavenger Zephyr is a plain pull-on sock in 3 mm neoprene with four-way stretch, glued and blind-stitched seams and a dotted print on the sole.

Neoprene does not keep water out. A little gets in at the cuff and stays there, and the foam slows how fast the cold reaches the skin – enough to make a two-minute dip a calmer experience. The sole is a print, not a tread, so treat these as socks: fine on a mat or a smooth patio, too thin for gravel.

Tip: Rinse them in fresh water after each dip and dry them inside out, away from direct heat – damp neoprene left in a heap soon smells.
