Scent is the part of the picture a camera cannot catch, and the part people remember. A room that smells faintly of lavender one night and of eucalyptus the next feels looked after. This Plant Therapy box holds six single-ingredient oils in 1/3 fl oz (10 mL) bottles – lavender, sweet orange, eucalyptus globulus, lemongrass, tea tree and peppermint – and the maker says every bottle has a batch-specific GC-MS report behind it.

The set is sold for diffusers, so the listing says nothing about saunas. The general practice is heavy dilution: one or two drops stirred into the bucket water outside the hot room, never neat oil on the heater. Essential oils are concentrated and flammable, and several of these – eucalyptus, peppermint and tea tree among them – are toxic to cats and dogs, so the box stays outside the sauna, capped, and out of reach of children and pets.

Tip: Start with sweet orange or lavender. Eucalyptus and peppermint are the loud ones – a single drop in a gallon bucket is plenty, and a top bench cannot step away from too much.
