Northwood Sauna Aromatherapy Stone Cup, Natural Rock with Stainless Steel Bowl

A small granite cup that sits among the heater stones and gives off scent slowly.

Best for a steady background scent without throwing waterstone-topped heaterssaunas where nobody wants to drill into the wall

Throwing scented water gives a burst of fragrance that fades with the steam. A stone cup works the other way round: it sits among the heater stones, warms up with them and lets a little scented water evaporate slowly. This Northwood cup is made of granite and has a stainless steel inlay that lifts out, so the oily film left after a session can be washed off at the sink.

Nothing is installed – the cup is simply nested between the top stones. The listing gives no dimensions or capacity for this Standard size, and it suggests putting oil drops straight into the cup. The more cautious habit is water first: essential oil is flammable, and neat oil in a very hot steel cup can scorch.

Tip: Set the empty cup in place while the heater is still cold, then fill it by ladle once the sauna is hot – stir one or two drops of oil into a ladle of water outside the hot room and pour a little of that into the cup.
