STAR SPLASH
Adjustable Hot Tub Table Tray, Stainless Steel Parts, 2 Cup Holders for Spa
drinks and snacks within reach of the seat, keeping cups off the cover and the ledge, tubs with a 3.5–7.5 in wall
Two small glowing orbs that drift on the water – points of light, not a lamp.
A single light on the water looks like a lamp; two or three small ones drifting apart look like a scene. These LOFTEK balls are 3 in (7.6 cm) across – about the size of a tennis ball – with a frosted shell that spreads the light into a soft glow, and they come as a pair with one remote for color, brightness and an auto-off timer of 1, 60 or 120 minutes. The maker gives 1.5 to 2 hours to charge and 7 to 48 hours of light depending on brightness.
They are rated IP65, which covers floating and splashes, not time underwater, and the listing gives no temperature limit for hot water. In a tub they are evening visitors: in when the cover comes off, out before it goes back on. Kept on one warm color at low brightness, they add the points of light that a long night exposure turns into small, round glows.
Tip: Set both to the same warm tone with the timer on 120 minutes, and fish them out before closing the cover – a light left under a closed cover sits in hot, chemical-laden steam all night.
