Water care without testing is guessing. A strip is the quickest way to stop guessing: dip it, wait the few seconds the label asks for and hold it against the chart on the back of the bottle. This one reads five values in a single dip – free chlorine, bromine, alkalinity, pH and total hardness – so it suits a tub on either sanitizer.

Strips are a guide, not a lab test. Colors are compared by eye and the listing gives no accuracy figure, which is fine for a weekly routine. A bottle holds 50 strips.

Tip: Take a strip out with dry fingers and close the cap right away – moisture inside the bottle spoils the remaining strips long before they run out.
