GORILLA GRIP Bath Rug Mat for Bathroom, Absorbent Chenille, 30x20 Gray

A thick chenille rug with a rubber back – the warm, dry landing spot between cold water and the towel.

Best for stepping out of a cold dip or showercold tile floorssmall bathrooms

The step from cold water to the towel is where a short routine most often goes wrong: wet feet, a hard floor and a hurry. A bath rug is the simple fix. This one has a dense chenille microfiber pile that the listing gives as almost 1 in (2.5 cm) thick, on a textured backing of thermoplastic rubber, and at 30 × 20 in (76 × 51 cm) it covers the spot in front of a tub or shower where both feet land.

The maker says it can be machine washed and dried again and again, which matters for a rug that gets wet every day. The listing gives no slip rating, so the usual rule applies: lay it flat on a clean, dry floor before any water is running, and wash it when it stops lying flat.

Tip: Put the rug down before you fill the bucket or turn on the shower – a rubber backing holds on a dry floor, not on one that is already wet.
