Cold Plunge Envelor

Envelor Anti Fatigue Bar Mat, Non Slip Kitchen Floor Door Mat, 24 x 36 in

A heavy rubber mat with drainage holes for the wet spot where you step out.

Best for the step-out spot beside a cold tubpatios and garage floorsoutdoor setups that get rained on

Getting out is the clumsiest part of a cold plunge: cold legs, wet feet and a floor that is now wet too. This Envelor mat is the kind used behind bars and in restaurant kitchens – a 36 × 24 in (91 × 61 cm) slab of rubber, half an inch thick, with a pattern of open holes. Water runs through the holes instead of standing on the surface, and at 6.6 lb (3 kg) the mat is heavy enough to stay put.

It is firm, not soft. On a patio or a garage floor that is the right trade: it can be left out in the rain and hosed clean. The water does end up on the floor beneath it, so keep it on concrete, pavers or tile. Neoprene socks make the open-hole surface more pleasant to stand on.

Tip: Lay it lengthwise where your first foot lands, and stand the tub’s lid somewhere else – a mat with things on it is a mat you step around.
