STAR SPLASH
Adjustable Hot Tub Table Tray, Stainless Steel Parts, 2 Cup Holders for Spa
drinks and snacks within reach of the seat, keeping cups off the cover and the ledge, tubs with a 3.5–7.5 in wall
A warm canopy of Edison-style bulbs above the deck, so the night has a ceiling instead of a floodlight.
The quickest way to make a hot tub look like an evening rather than a utility area is to give it a ceiling of light. A strand of warm bulbs strung along a pergola, a fence or two posts does that: the deck goes soft and gold, and in a photo the bulbs turn into the round blurs that make night shots look intentional. This Brightech Ambience Pro strand is 48 ft (14.6 m) long with 15 LED bulbs of 2 W each at 3 ft (0.9 m) intervals, in a 2700K soft white that sits close to the color of candlelight.
It is a plug-in strand on 110 V, which decides where it goes. It belongs above and beside the deck, not low over the water, and its plug belongs in an outdoor outlet well away from the tub. The bulbs are dimmable, but the dimmer is not in the box – worth adding, because at full brightness 15 bulbs light a small deck more than a soak needs.
Tip: Plug it into a GFCI-protected outdoor outlet, keep the plug and any connections out of splash range, and string it so no part of the cord hangs within reach of someone sitting in the tub.
